About Us

We Build for People and Te Taiao

Our Mission

We Aim to Build a
Better Northland

We are a Māori, family-owned civil construction company based in Northland, New Zealand, and our mission is to provide exceptional services in excavation, site preparation, drainage, and roadworks. Founded in 2008 by Mike Harrison, we draw on over 20 years of industry experience to ensure high-quality workmanship while prioritizing safety and environmental conservation. Embracing our cultural heritage and family values, we are dedicated to strengthening community ties by employing local whānau and contributing to the development of Northland's infrastructure.

Our Values

Demonstrating Manaakitanga

Manaakitanga is more than just a value; it’s our way of life. This principle of care, respect, and hospitality shapes how we connect our clients, team, and community, making sure everyone feels valued and treated with kindness. Embracing manaakitanga helps us foster strong relationships and a supportive workplace, which is key to providing top-notch services. Plus, it inspires us to protect our land and waterways, reflecting our respect for the environment and the people we serve.

Our Values

Caring for Te Taiao

Manaaki whenua, manaaki tangata,

haere whakamua.

When we take care of the land, we take care of the people, we take care of the future.

Whether it’s land, sea, or air— we’re all about conservation and protecting our environment. Our goal is to weave sustainable practices into every project, preserving our precious land, waterways, and ecosystems for generations to come. We focus on erosion control and boosting biodiversity to keep our footprint light. By spreading awareness in our team and communities, we aim to harmonize development with nature, making sure we all enjoy a healthy planet.
